I earned my Master of Science in Counselor Education with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Carolina University, following a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sociology with a minor in Psychology.

During my graduate studies, I completed my clinical internship at a private practice in Raleigh, North Carolina, where I provided individual counseling for adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and boundary setting. I utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed techniques to support emotional regulation and resilience. I hold certifications in Psychological First Aid (PFA) and Core Components & Skills for Trauma-Informed Practice from the UNC School of Social Work. These certifications strengthened my understanding of trauma-informed care and crisis response, enhancing my ability to provide safe, supportive, and effective therapeutic interventions.

About Me

My path to becoming a therapist started in high school, when I experienced firsthand how healing it can be to have a safe space to make sense of your story. That experience sparked my passion to help others feel supported, seen, and empowered as they navigate their own journeys.

I love supporting people who are feeling stretched thin by everyday stress, navigating big life changes, or trying to find balance in their relationships. Whether you’re learning to set boundaries, coping with anxiety, or just wanting to feel more grounded, my goal is to offer a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard.

I take a casual, conversational approach—using humor, laughter, and authenticity to create a space where it feels easy to be real. Sessions can look a little different for everyone. Sometimes we spend time talking things through and reflecting, and other times we might use different tools and approaches to gently explore your experiences and support your growth in a way that feels right for you.

My therapeutic style is rooted in compassion and collaboration. I draw from a variety of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and I tailor our work to fit what feels most supportive for you. My goal is to support you in reconnecting with your strengths, developing healthier ways of coping, and creating a more balanced and fulfilling life that feels authentic to who you are. I can’t wait to sit with you as we explore your story together.

The Sun Will Rise

When I'm not in the office

When I'm not providing therapy, you’ll probably find me thrifting, wandering farmers markets, checking out a new coffee shop, or curled up with a book as I work toward my Goodreads goal. I love baking sourdough, enjoying a good dinner out, porch hangs with my pets and a glass of wine, or taking quick trips home to my hometown of the Outer Banks. I treasure time with friends and family, but I also value my solo moments to relax and recharge.
