I earned my Master of Science in Counselor Education with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Carolina University, following a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sociology with a minor in Psychology.
During my graduate studies, I completed my clinical internship at a private practice in Raleigh, North Carolina, where I provided individual counseling for adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and boundary setting. I utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed techniques to support emotional regulation and resilience. I hold certifications in Psychological First Aid (PFA) and Core Components & Skills for Trauma-Informed Practice from the UNC School of Social Work. These certifications strengthened my understanding of trauma-informed care and crisis response, enhancing my ability to provide safe, supportive, and effective therapeutic interventions.
